- FUNERAL SERVICES
Held for John Hauenstein at Emanuel's Reformed Church
Funeral services for John Hauenstein, pioneer resident of this vicinity were held in the Emanuel's Reformed church, Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. H.C. Blosser. Interment was made in the Gratz Cemetery.
The deceased resided at the home of Mrs. Benj. Kiener for the past thirty years died at that place, Monday morning. He was aged eighty-two years and seven days. Death was due to age and complications.
Born in Richland township, he resided here nearly his entire life where he was esteemed and respectd [sic]. He is survived by one siter, Mrs. Sam Zulliger of Dechard, Tenn., and four brothers, Samuel, Henry, and Jacob Hauenstein of Bluffton and Fred Hauenstein of Beaverdam.
