- KENNEDY—Sarsh Kelly born near
West Liberty, Ohio, March 13, 1837.
She was married to W. H. Kennedy, of
Marion, Ohio, April 2, 1874. Died Feb-
ruary 22, 1908. at her home in Spring-
boro, Pennsylvania.
Her departure was caused by dropsy
of the heart. After eating her usual
breakfast and engaging in the usual
worship, she lay down on the couch,
looked up to the ceiling, gave a few short
breaths and slipped away to join her
redeemer and those already in glory.
Of her character and life a goodly
number can testify that she was a more
than ordinary woman. Possessed of
rare tact, grace and winsomeness, she
shed a hallowed influence wherever she
was known, adorning her profession. A
devoted Christian wife, mother and
friend. she is mourned for by all who
knew her.
She is survived by her husband, two
step-sons, and three sisters, Mrs. Anna
Deck, of Ada, Ohio, Mrs. Margaret Grib-
ble and Mrs. Martha Patterson, of
Columbia, Missouri.
Her remains were brought to West
Liberty by her husband, Monday morn-
ing and taken to the home of Mrs. Lucy
Kelly, on north Main street, where the
funeral services were held Tuesday at
eleven o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. E.
Day, pastor of the M. E. Church.
Interment in Fair View cemetery.
