- OMAR E. WYBURN
Logan County native Omar E. Wyburn, 73, of Springfield died unexpectedly at 3:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, in Mercy Medical Center there.
He was born Nov. 29, 1910, the son of Fred and Blanche Little Wyburn. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was engaged in carpentry until his retirement. At one time, he was employed by the Belle Center Herald Voice.
He is survived by two sons, Frederick Wyburn of Springfield and Richard G. Wyburn of Fort Myers, Fla.; two sisters, Lennie Kellogg of Bellefontaine and Doris Howarth of Springfield; three grandchildren: a nephew and a niece.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Alice; a brother, Joe; and a sister, Thelma Schreiber.
The Austin Richards & Raff Memorial Home in Springfield is directing the arrangements and the family will receive friends there from 6 to 8 this evening.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the memorial home with the Rev. Charles R. Shonkwiler officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Belle Center Herald
