- ISRAEL, b. in Weymouth about 1677, d. in Easton March 24, 1753.
He came to Taunton North Purchase in 1695, building his house and engaging in the sawmill business with his father and brother, Thomas. At the first meeting of Easton held March 2, 1726, he was chosen constable, but requested to be released from that office and was then chosen tythingman4 instead. He had served as a tythingman for several years already before the town was incorporated. He married January 21, 1701, Mary Willis, daughter of John and Experience (Byram) Willis of Bridgewater. She died November 29, 1760.
