  Notes	My Aunt Charlotte also told me a few things about Ms. Murray. She said that she believed the story about her eating the oranges all the way to California because she was very tight with her money. It was common for my Grandmother the have the kids take out the trash if Ms. Murray was coming over because they where afraid that she would take the potato peels home and eat them. I was born on a naval base in San Francisco and my parents moved back to Torrance when I was around 2 months old. We lived in the apartments that Ms. Murray owned for awhile. She died about 2 months before my brother was born and I was about 1-1/2. They could not believe how much money my Grandfather found all over her apartment.
