  	Ed and Muriel bought two acres at the end of the Nubble Peninsula in York Beach where they built a summer cottage. Over the years they added twelve additional rental cottages. They named their business Lighthouse Village. In 1979, Ed formed a condominium association for the twelve cottages, and sold each of them under this arrangement. At that time he kept their own cottage for their summer enjoyment. Finally in 1996 he sold their own cottage to a private party who tore it down and built a four season dwelling on the footprint of the original cottage.
