Lotus T. THRUSH, 75, 314 West 11th street, died at 4:30 a.m. today in Woodlawn hospital. He had been ill 2 1/2 years and serious the past few days.
Born May 1, 1897, at Fletchers Lake, he was reared by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert THRUSH. His marriage was Dec. 6, 1919, at Grass Creek, to Lela J. THOMAS, who survives. He had lived his entire life in the Rochester and Grass Creek areas and was associated with various banks and financial institutions in this area. He had for many years managed the Security Loan and the Seaboard Finance offices in Rochester. He was a member of Grace United Methodist church, Kewanna Masonic lodge, Royal Arch Chapter 90 of Rochester, South Bend Scottish Rite, Fort Wayne Shrine Temple and the American Legion Post. He was a veteran of World War I and served several years as Fulton county Red Cross chairman. He was active in work with the Chamber of Commerce and the Blood Bank.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert J. (Vivian) SCHEID and Mrs. Betty JENKINS, both of Rochester, and Mrs. Jack (Shirley) ANDERSON, Logansport; six grandchildren, John D. and Gary ELLITHORP, Kent, O.; James JENKINS, Rochester, Joseph JENKINS, Brooksville, Fla., Teresa and Danny ANDERSON, both of Logansport; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Luther J. ROSS, Indianapolis; an aunt, Effie THRUSH, Marion. A daughter, Mrs. John (Mary) ELLITHORP preceded in death.
