The final summons came Sunday noon for Mrs. Mary Cowan Falk, widow of Joel Falk, after a year's illness of hardening of the arteries and other complications. Death occurred at her home in Bobo, where she had been cared for the past year or more by her two nieces, the Misses Fanny and Flossie Cowan.

Mrs. Cowan was seventy-one years of age. She was married nineteen years ago to Joel Falk, his death occurring five years ago.

Brothers of the deceased are John C. Cowan, of Pleasant Mills and James Cowan, of Bobo. A sister, Mrs. ? Martin lives in Wisconsin .

Mrs. Falk was the step mother of Mrs. Dan Erwin and John Falk of this city.

Emily and Rhoda Wyburn followed their father and remained staunch and active Methodists. They took over the millinery business previously run by sisters Susannah and Sarah. By 1871 they were trading in London, and shortly after had a shop in prestigious Regent Street. By 1881 they were living at 23 Park Square East, Mayfair, a highly fashionable address adjacent to Regents Park. Around 1891 they purchased a large house known as Hadley Manor, near Barnet (the house no longer exists). They commissioned the Wyburn Memorial that stands in Woolavington churchyard.

"MRS. GRACE M. COOK, 66, of 200 Matty Ave., Mattydale, died yesterday at St. Joseph's Hospital.

A native of Syracuse, Mrs. Cook was a resident of Mattydale for 40 years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed 30 years by Nettleton Shoe Co.

She is survived by a son, Allen F. Cook Jr. of Mattydale; two daughters, Mrs. Louis Rivetts of Mattydale and Mrs. Walter Bullard of Los Angeles; a brother, Donald Warne of East Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Robert Keel of Albany and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Leitten Funeral Home, 2305 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, the Rev. Robert Overmier officiating. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery."

8249 Tempie Watkins, 67, succumbed November 28 at her home in Dayton. She had suffered a relapse from the flu which weakened her heart.

A daughter of William Jasper and Sarah Kelly-Watkins, she was born in Huntsville.

She leaves two sisters and two brothers, Mattie B. Watkins, with whom she resided, Mrs. John Leicht of Dayton, Kelly M. Watkins of Huntsville and Ray E. Watkins of Dayton.

Funeral services were held on December 2 in Dayton. Burial with committal services was in West Liberty - Fairview Cemetery.
