1917-2008 Dorothy Price O'Neill, 90, of Belmont, CA, formerly of San Diego, CA, died of pneumonia and emphysema, June 15, 2008 at Sequoia Hospital, Redwood City, CA with her loved ones beside her. Born August 28th, 1917 in Belle Plain, Kansas, she was the only child of Samuel and Lima Williams Price. Dorothy lost her mother to the 1918 Swine Flu Pandemic, and was reared by her grandmother Demaris Pinkerton Williams on the family wheat farm in Belle Plain, KS. Pretty and bright, at 13, she moved to the city of Wichita, Kansas to live with her Aunt Eva, and Uncle Will G. Price and cousins Dick & Will G. Jr. She attended East High where she met the love of her life, Willis Andrew O'Neill. In 1937, while at Wichita State, she eloped with Willis who was on a football scholarship at Case Western Reserve in Ohio. In 1941 they, with daughter Patricia, moved to San Diego, CA. After WWII, son Michael was born and times were booming. In 1964 Willis accepted a position as West Coast sales manager at Sterling Drug Co. and they moved to Belmont, CA. Willis predeceased her in 1990. Quick witted with a good sense of humor, Dot had a contagious laugh that would fill the room. We'll all miss her sharp mind. She was Active in the Daughters of the American Revolution. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Patricia Anne Tisdale (David) of Santa Barbara, son Michael Price O'Neill of Half Moon Bay, grandsons Scott Douglas Tisdale, Brian Michael Tisdale, Bradley David Tisdale (Denise), Stephen Willis Tisdale, five great-grandchildren, and half brother Robert Price of Manhattan, NY. She loved her close friends Ann Tedrick, Jeannine Hessling and Sandy Graham and her Belmont home where she was happiest. ...
