- Lillian Lucille "Lucy" Klinger, 93, died at 12:25 p.m. July 26, 2009, at Ridge at Shawnee.
She was born May 12, 1916, in Ada to Benjamin Harrison and Lettie Christine Clum Shilling, who preceded her in death. On June 24, 1936, she married Richard Ross Klinger, who died Oct. 22, 1995.
Mrs. Klinger graduated from Ada High School in 1934 where she was never tardy or missed a day of school. She retired in 1974 from Ex-Cell-O Corp. of Lima, where she had worked as an inspector. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Ada. She was also a member of the West Central Ohio Rock Club, the Ex-Cell-O Retirees Club and the Kitchen Kuties Band in Florida. She visited every state in the United States.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Lee (Margaret) Klinger, of Ada; a daughter, Sandra Sue (William) Shively, of Lima; a daughter-in-law, Ruby Klinger, of Vero Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard M. Klinger.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. The Rev. Ron Briggs will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until services Wednesday at the funeral home.
