He served in the Revolutionary War for eight months in Capt. John Mc Greiger's Co. , Colonel John Durkees Reg. CT. Line. At New Haven, CT. He was also enlisted from August 26, 1779 and was discharged on January 15, 1780. His name was on the Roster from September 30, 1779 to February 01, 1780. Muster of 1780 at Morristown, CT. His older brother Pelatiah born 1726 was "The Architect Of The Constitution." Also, Oliver Webster is a cousin to Noah Webster founder of the dictionary.
