- Second son of Absalom Elliott and Rosella Hope Rossell, Uriah died of wounds suffered during Civil War.

Born in 1841 in Union Co., Ohio. Uriah is on the census for Union Co., OH, in 1850 and in 1860. On Aug 25, 1861, he enlisted as a Private in the Ohio 31st Infantry Regiment, Company F. He is still with them on May 14, 1863 and on Jan 30, 1864
Enlisted as a Private in the Ohio 82nd Infantry Regiment, Company H. on Jun 27, 1864 at Kenesaw Mountain, GA. He saw action on Jul 20, 1864 at Peach Tree Creek, GA.
Uriah died in Prob. Georgia, on Aug 4, 1864; he was 23. Died of wounds suffered during Civil War. Buried in Nashville National Cemetery, Nashville, TN; Section "J".

On Feb 10, 1864 when Uriah was 23, he married Jane HENSON, in Union Co., Ohio. It was just a few months before his death. They had no children.
